Seabed hot spring found at Hangzhou bay New Zone

On January 11, a press conference was held at the Hangzhou Bay New Zone, declaring the discovery of the geothermal resources at the zone. As the water ingredient is up to standard, this can be regarded as the only seabed hot spring resources in Zhejiang Province.
Reportedly, as the water is rich in the iron ions, it may have the oxidizing reaction in the air and thus the water will display a yellow shade, forming the "golden hot spring". The hot spring comes from under the seafloor rocks 2000 meters below the Hangzhou Bay. The discovered storage volume reaches 2.8 billion cubic meters, which can serve 10000 people for 100 years.
According to a person in charge form the Tourism Bureau of the Hangzhou Bay New Zone, the zone will build a complete culture and leisure tourist industrial ecological circle with such functions as holidaying, health care and sports based on the excellent space resources of the zone by integrating such nature resources as coastal area, hot spring and wetlands
