Service industry promotes economy in Yinzhou District

In the first 11 months of 2015, , Yinzhou District ranked No. 1 among all the districts in Ningbo in terms of foreign trade with the foreign trade volume stood at US$11.13 billion. The sales volume of the large-scale social consumer products reached 27.43 billion yuan, up by 14.3% over the same period of the previous year. The e-business sales volume stood at 15 billion yuan, making the district the only one of the top ten counties (districts) in the province. With the strong basis of the traditional industries, the new industrial patterns have also developed. The added value of the service industry is promised to account for over 40% of the GDP. 
For a district with strong industries, service industry has always been a weak part of the economy of Yinzhou District. In recent years, to develop with the times, the district has continued to develop its traditional service industries and actively developed such new service industry patterns as headquarters economy, e-business, mobile internet, and productive intermediary services. Consequently, service industry has become the backbone for its economy.


The foreign trade was in a slump in 2015. In Yinzhou District, with the active measures of government support, investment attraction and cooperative development, 415 new import and export enterprises were established. Among the 3300 foreign trade enterprises, a dozen realized a total import and export volume of US$100 million yuan, including Zhongji Holdings, Aux and Firs, and such large enterprises as Aux, Huamao and Huafu even achieved an increase of over 10%.  
The living service industry blooms. The Yinzhou District now boasts of 14 large business complexes, with the total area of over one million square meters. So far, the convenience stores have entered all the administrative villages. The neighborhood business center model has developed and formed the "15-minute daily consumption circles". 
The emerging industries are also brisk. In terms of the headquarters economy, the Southern Business District attracted such domestic and foreign corporations as Disney, the global entertainment tycoon, and Ali Software. So far, over 2500 enterprises or institutions have settled down with 26,000 office staff. With the average occupancy rate of 89%, a number of business buildings have realized a tax revenue of over 100 million yuan. 
E-business has accelerated the industrial transformation and upgrading and promoted the industrial agglomeration. Currently, the district has over 200,000 square meters of e-business agglomeration area. For example, the Houli E-business Industrial Park has attracted 45 enterprises. Over 90% of the major enterprises in the district have their own specialized websites and the e-business application rate of large-scale enterprises reaches 33%.
