ECFA Preferential Tax Reaches 178 Million Yuan in Q1

2013 is the third year since the implementation of the Early Harvest Program of the ECFA (Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement). Statistics from the Ningbo Customs show that 428,200 tons of ECFA goods with a total value of 710 million US Dollars are imported from Taiwan in the first quarter of 2013, an increase of 33.72% and 41.27% respectively over the same period last year. The preferential tax reaches 178 million Yuan.
Since the implementation of the Program, Trades of 180 kinds of goods including chemical raw materials, machinery products, textiles, equipment sets, auto parts and fruits between Ningbo and Taiwan grow steadily.The third phase of the ECFA tax cuts is carried out in January 1, 2013. The tariffs of more than 800 goods are reduced to zero.
