Beilun to promote cyclic development by ten key projects

In 2014, to promote cyclic development, Beilun District will make great efforts to promote 10 circular economy projects.
The ten circular economy projects are: the renovation project of the power generation unit 5 of Beilun Power Plant, the Wind Power Plant of Fuquan Mountian, the 2nd phase of the recycled water plant, the waste water reclamation project of Ningbo Shenzhou Textile Co., Ltd., the technological renovation project of the back pressure unit 2 and the 40-MW photovoltaic power project of Ningbo Asia Paper Company, the technological renovation project of sludge incineration facilities of Ningbo Asia Paper Company, the LNG project of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the solid wastes treatment project of Ningbo Steel Plant and the combined heat and power generation of Ningbo Thermal Power Co., Ltd.
The projects involve new energies and renewable energies, technical renovation, reclamation of waste materials and water, reclamation of surplus energy and pressure, and heat-cascading technology. The total investment of the projects reach 3.7 billion yuan. With these projects, the annual energy saved will reach equal to 160,000 tons of standard coal, the emission of sulfur dioxide will reduce by 1,000 tons, the saving of fresh water will reach over 20 million tons, the annual capacity for a sewage sludge treatment will increase by 400,000 tons, and the annual treatment capacity of steal rabble will reach 800,000 tons.
Beilun District is a national pilot unit for recycle renovation of industrial parks and a national advanced unit for recycle economy. Following the principles of "reducing the quantity, recycling, and changing wastes into resources", the district makes great efforts to promote the recycle renovation of industrial parks, energy saving technical renovation clean production, and the wastes exchange between enterprises.
