New plan for tourism in Cixi

In order to further promote the exposure of Cixi's tourism and optimize Cixi's tourism products, a nationwide suppliers cooperation symposium was held in Cixi. Representatives from 60 travel services and tourist attractions in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai gathered here to seek a closer strategic cooperation partnership and explore the new opportunities of tourism cooperation.
In recent years, Cixi has kept developing its tourism by regional and inter-industrial cooperation. With its geographical advantage, it constantly strengthened its exchange and cooperation with the surrounding cities. In 2008, with the completion of Hanzhou Bay Bridge, Cixi launched its regional tourism cooperation with Jinshan District of Shanghai and Haiyan County in Jiaxing. Over these years, the three parties, bonded by the bridge, have successfully put forward the tourism development in pan-hangzhou bay area. In 2011, Cixi and Jiaxing Pinghu tourism bureau launched a large preferential travelling activity—one-day tour in Cixi and Pinghu. In 2012, the tourism bureau of Cixi also went to Zhenjiang, Yangzhou and Nanjing in Jiangsu to promote its tourism. In 2014, Cixi also established cooperation with Anji County in Huzhou, sharing resources, tourists and markets.
At the symposium on December 19, which features special tourism products of Cixi and with the theme of "Integrity, equality, cooperation and win-win", the travel services in Cixi offered well-selected itineraries including Dapeng Mountain, Heming Ancient Town, Hetou Ancient Village, and bonus policies for packaged tours by travel agencies. The participants have also reached agreement on tourists transfer, product publicity, talent cultivation and quality upgrading.
The symposium was hosted by Cixi Tuyuan Tourists' League Compay and cosponsored by 11 travel services. The host hoped that they could established cooperation relationship with more travel services and look for more partners. Lu Song, head of Guilin South and North Holiday Travel Service, said that Cixi has rich tourism resources and they will organize a large number of tourists to come to Cixi. Official from the Municipal Tourism Bureau said this symposium can serve as a platform for idea interaction, information and resources sharing, which will further advance the healthy development of tourism market.
