"1000 Talents Scheme" Industrial Park set up in Yuyao

The introduction of the high-end talents of the national "1000 Talents Scheme" means the introduction of an innovative team, the establishment of an emerging industry and the cultivation of a new economic growth point. On May 25, the first "1000 Talents Scheme" Industrial Park in Zhejiang Province was established in Yuyao County. Thus, a new entrepreneurship and innovation platform has taken shape in Yuyao County, to give full play to the leading role and accumulation effects of the experts of "1000 Talents Scheme" and to promote the construction of strategic emerging industries.
"The settlement of the first provincial '1000 Talents Scheme' Industrial Park in Yuyao County is the achievement of our policies of implementing the strategy of developing the county by introducing talents and striving to establish the regional talent accumulation area." according to the related officials from Yuyao County Party Committee and County Government. The industrial park, covering such strategic emerging industries as new equipments, new materials, new energies and energy conservation, electronic information, medical equipments and bio-medicine, will make efforts to introduce and support a parade of "1000-Talents-Scheme" experts and other leading scientific and technological figures with independent intellectual properties or core technologies and ability of guiding the development of the emerging industries, as well as some distinctive innovative teams, so that an interactive development pattern will be formed with the accumulation of talents, projects, capitals, technologies and industries.
It is reported that the construction of the industrial park, with an area of 7300 mu, was launched in September 2012. To realize the park’s effects of talent introduction, accumulation and settlement, Yuyao County launched the policy of granting the business supporting fund (with the maximum of five million yuan) and business starting seed fund (with the maximum of five million yuan) to experts and overseas high-end leading talents that would settle down and start business in the park. In the meanwhile, the park opened the "green passage" for the state-of-the-art entrepreneurship and innovation teams.
To date, 68 overseas high-end projects have signed agreements or are in the process of negotiation, including 48 projects related with the "1000-Talents-Scheme" experts, and some of the projects are leading ones in the whole world. For example, Dr. Hui Mizhou, an expert of the "1000 Talents Scheme", co-founded a company with a local enterprise, with his 8 invention patents. So far, the sample machine production testing and the mould designs of the company have completed and it is estimated that when put into operation, the sales volume will reach nearly 3 billion yuan within five years.
It is said that in the following five years, the industrial park will attract over 100 "1000-Talents-Scheme" experts and 100 high-tech enterprises initiated by overseas high-end leading talents to settle down, and the potential output volume will reach 100 billion yuan.
