Nine Ningbo Companies Rank Among China Top 500 Enterprises

On September 2, 2014 China Top 500 Enterprises evaluated and selected by the China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association were released in Chongqing. This is the 13th consecutive release to the community by China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association. Ningbo has nine companies among the list, the same as 2013. Another 15 companies were listed Top 500 Manufacturers, 25 companies were nominated Top 500 Service Providers. The conference pointed out that China's top 500 enterprises are significantly weaker than the Fortune 500 in terms of profitability and large-scale enterprise revenue and profitability do not match, causing concern among the public

 

According to the latest China Top 500 Enterprises list, the top ten are concentrated in the fields of energy, banking, telecommunications, construction and so on. Sinopec ranked first with 2.945 trillion yuan in revenue, while PetroChina and the National Grid ranked the second and the third with 2.7593 trillion yuan and 2.0498 trillion yuan in revenue respectively.

On the list, there are nine companies from Ningbo, among which five are listed companies. Compared to list of 2013, except for Jintian Investment, other eight enterprises saw a rise in their ranks, indicating that large enterprises face well the complex economic situation in 2013. Among the short-listed companies of Ningbo, Youngor Group ranked highest at the 221st, an increase of 14 places compared with the previous year.

Ningbo’s nine shortlisted companies are private enterprises, among which five have main business in manufacturing, three in trade and commerce, and another one in real estate business. Annual revenues of these companies go all over 20 billion yuan with strong strength for competition. Youngor Group market ranks first in shirts and suits market in terms of market share; Oaks's Samsung ranks first in ammeter and fourth in air-conditioning in terms of domestic sales; sales multiple products of Fubon Holding rank the first nationwide in sales.
