First county-level imported food store opened in Ninghai

Ningbo Free Trade Zone opened its first imported food store in Ningbo's Ninghai county last week, becoming the nation's first county-level imported food store. With the newly opened store, local residents can buy imported products without taking one-hour ride to the Free Trade Zone in Ningbo.
The store is located on the third floor of Ninghai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a total area of 3,000 square meters. Its current business area covers about 2,000 square meters. In addition to traditional aeas like pastry and wine, there are also a gift packing area, a meat and vegetable area, a New Zealand products area as well as other imported specialties. The gift packing area provides customized gift wrapping service according to customer's requirement. The New Zealand products area offers a wide variety of milk powders for the customers. The meat and vegetable area is specially set for local seafood lovers.
"Our store aims to offer imported food at low price for the general public," said Miss Jiang Yarong, the general manager Ninghai Imported Food Store. Seeing the growing demand for imported goods in recent years and the success of imported food supermarkets in Ningbo urban districts, Jiang hit upon the idea of opening an imported food store. Her idea coincides with the development strategies of Ningbo Free Trade Zone. After a series of talks and negotiations, the first imported food store eventually settled in Ninghai.
