Export distribution businesses grow in Ningbo export processing zone

According to the statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first quarter of this year, export distribution for Ningbo export processing zone reached US$83.47 million, up by 63.5% over the same period last year. Machinery and electronic products (valued US$46.94 million, an increase of 74.2%), textile and garment (valued US$19.49 million, an increase of 1.6 times) account for a large share of the distribution of goods, which take up 79.6% of the total export distribution. The goods were mainly exported to the United States, the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia. Following the logistics functional development in export processing zones, under the on-site policy for tax rebate and measures to facilitate the role of the green customs clearance, export distribution businesses maintained a steady growth trend. With the increasing number of distribution enterprises and growing varieties of goods for distribution, the export distribution business has become another area for growth besides the processing trade.
