Ningbo smart education platform launches learning APPs

It is learned from Ningbo Education Bureau that during the winter vacation Ningbo smart education platform will launch a variety of learning APPs and resources for students.

It is understood that students can have their own "learning packages" according to their own needs from those rich resources. During the winter vacation, the students can choose from over three million online classes by famous teachers all over the country. They can also communicate with their parents by means of various APPs, practice spoken English online, and compete with friends in study, life, social practice and other aspects.

To parents' relief, the students can seek help online during the winter vacation. The smart education platform launched the online question-solving activity by inviting some famous teachers and volunteer students. According to the schedule, from January 31 to February 5 and from February 15 to 20, four teachers and the volunteer groups will answer the questions online posed by middle school and primary school students. The questions are mainly for Chinese, maths, English and science.

Besides the teachers, the volunteer students are also available for solving problems. The "top school resources" application makes it possible for the students to learn about the learning materials of the top schools throughout the country. The local top schools, such as Zhenhai Middle School, Xiaoshi Middle School, Cixi Middle School and Yuyao Middle School, are also included in the application.

New Materials Science and Technology City develops with talents

In speeding up innovation and development, Ningbo National High-tech Zone (the New Materials Science and Technology City) develops its talent business by building the platforms, innovating the policies and optimizing the environment. 
In 2015, the zone introduced over 5000 talents, including 255 returned talents, 54 target talents for the national or provincial "1000-talent plan" or the municipal "3315 talent plan", and 10 overseas engineers. 15 talents at the zone were listed among the "1000-talent plan", 10 individuals or teams listed among the "3315 talent plan", and 25 talents individuals or teams selected as "entrepreneurial elite". The total number of the introduction of overseas high-end talents hit the historical high. There were over 160 scientific achievement transformation projects at the zone in 2015. Ningbo National High-tech Zone ranks No.17 among all the 129 national high-tech zones in the country in the list issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, showing that the regional core competitiveness of the zone has significantly enhanced. 
To introduce the overseas talents, the high-tech zone cooperated with the Hanhai Z-park of the Silicon Valley to co-build the talent incubators by leasing spaces and purchasing services. 
The incubators have their own independent offices and incubating space, and by hiring professional talent introduction representatives, they cooperate with the local overseas study agencies to select the overseas talent projects on the spot. By carefully choosing a group of advanced and promising projects with the intention of starting business back at home for pre-incubation, the incubators provide free entrepreneurial guidance and specialized training for the development of the projects, help them to contact the investors and provide a preparatory space for the settlement of the entrepreneurial individuals or teams at the high-tech zone. When everything is ready, the projects will be introduced to the related innovative and entrepreneurial platforms for further cultivation and development and even the final industrialization. 
In cooperation with the incubator of the Silicon Valley, the high-tech zone took the lead in the city to open an office for overseas talents affairs. As a publicity window and a talent-introducing bridge, the office assigns the talent-introducing tasks by means of service outsourcing, strengthens the incentives for talent introduction and introduces the target talents at the national, provincial, municipal and district talents. 
In 2015, the "overseas entrepreneurial base", with an area of 13,000 square meters and located at the Ningbo R&D Park, was put into use, attracting a group of talents from the national and provincial "1000-talent plan", the municipal "3315 talent plan" and the "high-tech entrepreneurial elite plan". Meanwhile, the base cooperated with the Shanghai Pegasus Brigade to build the "entrepreneurial workshop" and introduce the overseas talent projects by introducing the new talent development models, which has helped to expand the base scale and build the "starting business in Ningbo" brand

53 school canteens upgraded to transparent kitchens in Jiangdong

Recently, it is learned from Jiangdong Education Bureau that all the 53 school canteens in Jiangdong District have been upgraded to “transparent kitchens” for the safety of students, completing the provincial indicator a year ahead of schedule.
Jiangdong District has 45 primary schools, middle schools and kindergartens with a total of 53 canteens. In recent years, Jiangdong District has been actively promoting the “million students’ food safety” project by upgrading the school canteen hardware, installing monitoring software, increasing cameras and enhancing the level of monitoring and supervision by intelligent means to improve the quality of student restaurants.

Ningbo first “Fashion Economy” Seminar Held

Ningbo fashion economy steps into a new journey of development. On the afternoon of January 16, the first “Fashion Economy” Seminar of Ningbo was held in Jiangbei District. 300 people from the relevant industry associations, research institutions and fashion business attended the seminar. During the seminar, China Textile Engineering Institute Ningbo Workstation was inaugurated.
Fashion industry is a high creative, high market controlled and high value-added new industry format which can lead the consumer trends. On the basis of the existing industrial base and future development trend, Zhejiang Province has chosen a group of fashion industries with large drive and fast growth as the key development areas, including apparel industry, leather products industry, fashionable household goods industry, jewelry and makeup industry, electronics industry and so on. Under the theme of “Fashion Ningbo”, Ningbo is following the development road of combing manufacture and market and strengthening the docking of local market and international fashion. Ningbo is vigorously developing a variety of fashion products and related services to form a multi dimension fashion industry system and a “popular trend” industrial chain of “fast fashion”. Ningbo is striving to build a number of famous Ningbo brands and build Ningbo into a nationally renowned fashion city.
In recent years, the fashion and culture industry in Jiangbei District continues to expand its scale, its fashion and culture brands becoming more and more mature. Jiangbei Old Bund and Creative 1956 Fashion Cultural Industry Park attracted businesses to settle in Jiangbei, improving the level of industrial agglomeration. “The settlement of China Textile Engineering Institute Ningbo Workstation in Jiangbei marks that Jiangbei has a high-level and professional specialized platform to contact with the country and the world fashion industry. Zhang Qinghui, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of China Fashion Association made a keynote speech on fashion economy and the development of the fashion industry.
