Long-term plan for technological innovation and industrial development issued

The long-term plan for graphene technological innovation and industrial development (2014 – 2023) was issued on May 28, according to which Ningbo will build the graphene industry into a featured industrial cluster with an output volume of 100 billion yuan in ten years.
Graphene is the thinnest and hardest nanophase material ever found so far in the world. To build the graphene industry as the new engine for the development of strategic emerging industries, in 2013, Ningbo government started to draw up the long-term development plan for the industry, and the final draft of the plan was eventually completed this May, said Huang Liqin, Director of Ningbo Science & Technology Bureau.
According to the plan, in the following decade, Ningbo will launch a series of projects invoving industrial technological innovation, industrial cluster cultivation and major application demonstrations, from the three levels of the graphene raw material, the graphene application materials and appliances, and the terminal products and equipments. Besides, it will make efforts to support the related enterprises and projects both in policy and capital.
At the issuing meeting, Ningbo Morsh Technology signed cooperation agreements with eight eminent domestic enterprises. The inauguration ceremony for "Ningbo Graphene Industry Technological Innovation Association" was held on the same day. Vice-mayor Chen Zhongchao attended the issuing meeting together with the officials in charge from some related department of Zhejiang Province.
