An interactive, informative and fun way for speeding up your adaptation to Ningbo and China!
… You’ve recently arrived to Ningbo. You speak and understand just a few words in Chinese. Your relatives and best friends are now several thousand of kilometers away. Even going to a local food store is a challenge. The air is often polluted. You wonder how to survive in this new location for a year or two?
If you aim isn’t only to survive, but to pursue your dreams, achieve your goals, discover Chinese culture and enjoy your new stage of life in China, than this workshop is right for you!
During the workshop, you will:
Find out what is behind the certain Chinese behavior, how to enjoy communication with Chinese people;
Gain better understanding of the main cultural differences between China and the West;
Meet other expat women in similar situation living in Ningbo, find new friends and exchange practical information with them;
Find out what set of values helps you to adjust to Ningbo.
The workshop is facilitated by Natalia Fey, a business trainer (Russian/Swedish). She has been living in Ningbo since 2011 and is a lecturer in International Business at NIT. Before moving to Ningbo Natalia worked in Stockholm, Sweden as a business trainer and intercultural awareness consultant. Natalia has an MBA in International Business from Stockholm University and speaks English, Russian, Swedish and basic Chinese. She will share actual knowledge, practical tips and her own experience of embracing Ningbo with the participants.
