Ningbo enterprises benefitted by preferential policies of free trade zones

According to Ningbo Bureau of Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine, from January to October 2012, the bureau issued 45,177 preference certificates of origin, involving exported goods valuing 1.56 billion US dollars, increased by 12% and 17% year on year. Calculated by 8% tax exemption, the exempted tax might reach 120 million US dollars.
In recent years, China is promoting the strategy for free trade zones. For the 20 free trade zones, the certificates that Ningbo enterprises demanded most are those for China-ASEAN free trade zone, accounting for about half of the total. The fast increase in the number of certificates of origin issued is for the China-Peru free trade zone. The issued certificates total 1,857, involving 65,760,000 US dollars, increased by 34% and 45% year on year.
Ningbo Bureau of Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine suggested that the export enterprises should make best use of the preferential policies of free trade zones, and get familiar with the rules of the free trade zones on the origin of exported products. It is advised that they should make good use of the certificates of production origin and make the best out of the preferential policies of the free trade zones.
