Integration into the "Belt and Road": African metal mine from Ningbo port to the whole country

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.

As an important participant in the "Belt and Road" initiative, Africa has rich mineral resources, of which bauxite, manganese, iron, copper and other minerals occupy an important position in the world and complement China's advantages.

According to Ningbo Customs statistics, in the first half of this year, Ningbo Port imported a total of 2.7697 million tons of metal ore from Africa, an increase of 24.39% over the same period last year.

In recent years, in order to further give full play to the location advantages and improve the energy level of the port, Ningbo Customs has implemented convenient customs clearance measures such as "advance declaration" and "first release and later inspection" to minimize the customs clearance time of goods. In the first half of this year, the average customs clearance time of imported ore at Ningbo Port was about 19 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 34.53%.

"In view of the situation of mining ships berthing at the tide, we carry out '24-hour' overtime boarding inspection to ensure that ships are 'docked and inspected'. At the same time, we have implemented 'one-time' inspection, shortening the inspection time of various customs operations such as health quarantine and commodity inspection from the original 3 hours to more than 1 hour at present, so as to promote the upgrading of the business environment at ports. Zhang En, head of the second section of ship management of the Beilun Customs office in Chuanshan, said
