On May 19th, Ninghai Chashan Wind Power Plant, the biggest land wind farm in Zhejiang Province, was put into operation after equipment check.
As a provincial key project with an investment of 488 million Yuan and the first green energy project introduced into Ninghai , the plant has an installed power generating capacity of 49,500 kw and 39 wind turbine generator systems. As the biggest land power plant in Zhejiang, it will contribute to the energy saving and emissions reduction in Ningbo.
It took about one year to install the grids into the mountainous areas of Chashan ,900 meters above sea-level, according to Mao Yagang, vice general manager of Ningbo Branch of GD Power Development Co.,Ltd. In April , the final check was conducted to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
The plant, with a yearly capacity of generating 104 million kw, will provide sustainable energy through a 110kw transformer substation.
The connection of power grids has been accelerated with the issue of new policies.The three wind power grids that have been connected in Ningbo are Cixi Wind Power Plant, Beilun Chuanshan Wind Power Plant and Xiangshan Tuci Wind Power Plant.
It has been learned that as well as the Ningha Chashan Wind Power Plant, there will be another 4 wind power plants to be put into use this year, three in Xingshan and one in Beilun.
