Marine Economiy Fair to open in Ningbo

According to the news conference by the organization committee of the Marine Economic Fair, the first China Marine Economy and Investment Fair is to open tomorrow in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center.
The theme of the fair is “scientific use of land and promote the industrial upgrading and transformation”. By such means as exhibitions, project signing, project promotion, invitation of human resources and forums, the fair aims to be a comprehensive platform for the cooperation, exchanges and investment of the marine economy so as to promote the development of the marine economy and the construction of the demo area of marine economy of Zhejiang. The fair is hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Government and the State Oceanic Administration guided by the National Development and Reform Commission, and organized by Ningbo Municipal Government, Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission, Zhejiang Provincial Oceanic and Fishery Department, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and the Office of Marine Economy of Zhejiang Province.
The principal part of the fair is the exhibitions. The venue for the exhibitions is the three exhibition halls in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center, totaling 20,000 square meters. There are four areas: the state area, the area for the pilot provinces, the area for Zhejiang, and the area for enterprises engaged in marine economy.
Agreement signing is another important part of the fair. Over 100 important projects of marine economy will be signed, including the auction of the deserted islands in Xiangshan and the projects of cooperation of mountain economy and marine economy proposed by Quzhou and Lishui. On the fair, Ningbo will propose some projects of staple commodities trade platforms.
It is reported that some enterprises, higher education institutions and research institutes will hold job fairs for personnel for marine economy. Over 30 experts and scholars including several academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering will attend the forum of marine economy.
