Ningbo passed acceptance check of grain functional areas

The standardized construction project of 14,000 mu of grain production functional area has recently passed the acceptance check by Ningbo Municipal Agricultural Bureau and Ningbo Financial Bureau. This is the first grain production functional area in Ningbo that has passed the check. This year, Ningbo started the standardized construction project of 14,000 mu of grain production functional area in Jiangkou and Xiwu. With an investment of 14 million yuan, over 160 cement irrigation channels were built, totaling 31,329 meters; 74 drainage ditches were built, totaling 28,896 meters; 14 ploughing roads were built, totaling 8,670 meters; the underground pipes of 3,700 meters were built. All these facilities notably improved the production of agriculture. This year, the late rice had a good harvest in the newly built grain production functional area. The per-mu yield reaches 480 kg. The per-mu yield of single cropping late rice is above 70 kg, 50 kg over the yield of regular fields.
