Fenghua has over 80 high-level returned scholars

In Fenghua, there is emerging a new force in the industrial transformation and upgrading. The improved environment for innovation and business is attracting more and more overseas Chinese scholars. Statistics show that so far the city has over 80 returned scholars who have established business in clothes, pneumatic components and biological gene products. The annual turnover by these enterprises is over 3 billion yuan. In the first five months this year, over 80% of the enterprises by the returned scholars have their year-on-year growth exceeding 30%.
In recent years, Fenghua has made great efforts to attract overseas Chinese students. The measures the city takes includes the establishment of a contact network of the overseas Chinese scholars, an association for the promotion of the business establishment of the returned scholars, and the industrial parks like the Binhai New Area, the Bamboo Industrial Park and the Xincheng Industrial Park.
The improved environment for establishing ventures has attracted a large number of returned professionals, who are becoming a great force for the economic transformation and upgrading of Fenghua.
To attract more overseas scholars to come home for business, Fenghua recently released new measures to encourage high-level returned overseas Chinese scholars to establish business in Fenghua, and preferential treatment will be given to them in capital for business establishment, project examination and approval and so on. In the following 5 years, Fenghua plans to introduce 100 high-level overseas returned scholars for the construction of modern industrial system of high-end service industry, high-end manufacturing industry, high-end agriculture and the industries of new energies, new equipment and new materials.
