Ningbo Ride & Race for Charity 2011B

Dear Everyone,
Jointly organised by Ningbo Focus, Ningbo Guide and the Ningbo Bicycling Association, the inaugural Ningbo Ride & Race for Charity 2011 will be held on Saturday 29th October at Dapeng Mountain in Cixi. This event has been organised to raise funds for the children of Enmei Welfare House.
The Ningbo Ride & Race official sponsors are Harbor House, The Westin Ningbo, The Office Bar and Tasty’s.
It’s going to be an awesome and fun-filled event! So far we have over 110 participants for this event, for those who wish to participate but have not signed up, please do so as soon as possible. For those who have confirmed participation individually or as a team, thank you very much for your kind support, please fill in the attached entry form and send it back to us as soon as possible.

1. Entry Form:
- All riders must fill in the entry form and sign off, individually please. If you are part of a team, please include your team name and the number of riders in your team. 2. Gathering Place:
- Meet at The Westin Ningbo on Saturday 29th October 2011 at 7:30 a.m. – attached location map.
- Buses will depart for Dapeng Mountain at 7:45 a.m. sharp.
- If you are meeting straight at Dapeng Mountain in Cixi, please indicate this on the Entry Form.
- If you are driving and bringing your own bikes, please indicate this on the Entry Form.
3. Participation Fees:
- Please bring along RMB 60 for participation and RMB 10 for insurance.
- Participation fee includes event wear, goodie bag sponsored by Harbor House, two-way bus transfer and water sponsored by The Westin Ningbo, After-race Party with first drink sponsored by The Office Bar and lunch snacks sponsored by Tasty’s.

- Attached route of the ride & race
- Total distance: 8.4km per lap X 5 laps = 42km
- Those riding for leisure may choose to cover any number of laps or stop anytime at the start point.
- Those racing for the trophies must complete the whole course of the route.

8. Bikes:
- Drop-offs:
All bikes should be dropped off on Friday, 28th October 2011 between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at Giant Cambridge Branch, 409, Siming Middle Road, Yinzhou. Your bikes will then be safe-kept at Giant, and transported in bike trucks to Dapeng Mountain the next day.
After the Race:
All bikes will be transported back by bike trucks to a meeting point in Jiangbei. Participants will be brought back to the same meeting point to claim your bikes. We will then do a group ride together to Lao Waitan for the After-race Party, trophy and donation presentation.
Upon arrival in Lao Waitan, please park your bikes immediately at the back of The Office Bar.

《宁波聚焦》、《我爱宁波》和宁波自行车协会将于10月29日在慈溪的达蓬山首次共同举办2011宁波慈善自行车行活动。此次活动是为宁波市恩美福利院筹备资金而举办的。

8.    自行车停放与提取
-        自行车停放
所有自行车必须于2011年10月28日星期五晚上6:30至9:30之间送到鄞州区四明中路409号捷安特剑桥店。你的自行车放在那里会很安全，并且第二天将由大卡车直接运送至达蓬山。
-        自行车提取
赛后，所有自行车将被带到江北的一个停靠点，巴士会带所有参赛选手去那里提取各自的自行车。接着，所有选手将一起骑车至老外滩，参加赛后聚会，颁奖仪式以及捐赠仪式。
到达老外滩后请将你的自行车直接停放在Office吧后面。

Ningbo Hengfeng Creative Square opened

On October 20, Hengfeng Creative Square, a place for industrial design and creative industrial enterprises, officially opened. On the same day, a meeting on promoting industrial upgrading was held.

Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and other Zhejang and Ningbo provincial government officials including Wang Huizhong, Mao Guanglie, Liu Qi, Zhu Tao, Chen Xin, Yu Hongyi, Wang Jianbo, Guo Zhengwei and Wang Jiankang cut the ribbon at an opening ceremony of the square.

Hengfeng Creative Square is an important step Ningbo has taken to promote the creativity and development capacity of the city. It is also an important way for Ningbo to promote its industrial upgrading. The square is on the bank of the Yongjiang River, with a floorspace of about 340,000 square meters, and the investment totaling 3 billion yuan. Its construction started in April 2009. So far, some 61 famous designing institutions from home and abroad have settled in it. By 2013, it expects to have the number increased to 100. By 2015, the annual output of the enterprises is estimated to be over 2 billion yuan.

Innovation of Real Property, the theme of the Housing Expo

According to the News Office of Ningbo Municipal Government, the 16th China Ningbo International Housing Expo will open in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center on October 28 and the theme for this year's session is Innovation of Real Property.

The Expo will have such activities as exhibitions of housing products, consultation of housing purchasing, the fifth financing fair for small and medium-sized enterprises, the exhibition of achievements of urban and rural construction, Ningbo banks financial products fair 2011, and exhibition of prize winning designs for houses for low-income earners and fair of second-hand houses 2011 and so on.

It is reported that the exhibition of prize winning designs for houses for low-income earners will be a highlight of the expo. By displaying the good designs of low-price houses for low-income earners, the exhibition aims to improve the quality of such houses and promote the modernization of the housing industry. The fifth financing fair for small and medium-sized enterprises will be a platform that links the state-owned banks and private banks to the private small enterprises for loans.

According to a related authority, the expo aims to display the newest achievements and tendency of the housing products home and abroad, improve the living environment of the people, and promote the economic and social development of Ningbo.
