China Food Expo to unveil on Nov. 30

The China Food Expo of 2011 (CFE hereafter) will be held at Ningbo Conference and Exhibition Center on Nov. 30, according to information from Ningbo Board of Trade released at Nov. 15. Special pavilions will be prepared for exhibitors from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, which will be the first time ever in the history of the event. It is also learned that overseas foods will account for over 30% of the total.
It is learned that a new exhibition hall will be set up for imported food. The No.1 Hall and the pavilion for red wine perennial hall will exhibit imported red wine.  The No.2 Hall will be reserved for exhibitors from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. At the same time, the organizing committee will invite a large number of overseas multinational retailers and professional buyers, such as retail giants of METRO, TESCO, E-mart, Auchan, and Carrefour and so on.
The pavilions will be set up according to different categories of foodstuffs such as meat products, dairy products etc. as well as different origins of the food such as marine products, imported food and local specialties of China, etc., for the convenience of purchasers. In addition, the visiting time for purchasers will be intentionally separated from that for the public for convenience of professional buyers. The organizing committee is striving to further improve its service system to provide buyers with more convenient and better service. For example, some value-added services such as tourism, expressage and insurance etc. will be available in the exhibition halls. Meanwhile, platforms for online- purchasing will be set, too, which shall further broadens purchasing and trading channels and combines online deals with offline ones
