Europe is not only an important destination of foreign trade of Ningbo, but also an important place that the investment of Ningbo enterprises goes to. On October 6, an expert of CEMD of Swiss made an introduction to Ningbo enterprises about the strategy for the investment to Europe.
From January to September 2012, the value of the bilateral trade of Ningbo and Europe reaches 17.54 billion US dollars, covering 24.1% of the total of exports of Ningbo, next only to the Asian market. In addition, the stable investment conditions, good economic environment and R&D capacity are great attraction to Ningbo enterprises. At present, over 1,000 enterprises of Ningbo have investments in Europe, especially Germany, UK and Italy.
The expert of the CEMD said that Ningbo is one of the most economically active places in east China and the enterprises of Ningbo are going out in steady steps. He suggested that to invest in Europe, Ningbo enterprises should first learn about European countries and follow the commercial patterns of the countries. In terms of the destinations for investment, he suggested that priority should be given to those with complete infrastructural facilities and the neutral countries.
