Ningbo's trade to EU recovered

Despite the decline of foreign demand, the foreign trade of Ningbo in July still amounts to 9 billion US dollars, a surprising historical new high of foreign trade in one month. According to Ningbo Customs, in July, the total import and export volume of Ningbo enterprises reaches 9.02 billion US dollars, increased by 10.3% year on year.
Thanks to this historical new high in July, the foreign trade of Ningbo in the past seven months is generally on the rise. From January to July the export of Ningbo amounts to 56.97 billion US dollars, increased by 2.8%. Among the 15 quasi-provincial cities of the country, Ningbo ranks the 3rd, only next to Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Of all the counties, cities and districts of Ningbo, the top two are Ningbo Development Zone (9.52 billion US dollars) and Yinzhou District (8.33 billion US dollars). Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Zone has the greatest growth rate 63.3%.
The recovery of foreign trade of Ningbo is attributed to the recovery of trade to EU and USA. Statistics show that from January to July, the export of Ningbo enterprises to EU reaches 11.42 billion US dollars, increased by 18.8%, covering 20% of the total export of Ningbo in the period. This makes EU the first trade partner of Ningbo. The 2nd trade partner of Ningbo is USA, with the import and export valuing 8.84 billion US dollars, increased by 4.8%.
