According to a meeting on the economic cooperation of Ningbo, in 2014, Ningbo will focus on quality and efficiency and green low-carbon manufacturing to upgrade the industrial economy.
In 2014, the per unit GDP energy consumption shall drop by 4.3%, b the elimination of backward productivity. By promoting the energy saving technical renovation of key enterprises the city will look for more space for energy saving. This year, the city will go on the "robot replacement program", strengthen the upgrading of the modern industrial chains. The city will try to increase its core competency by upgrading the leading enterprise, and the enterprises of new materials.
This year, the expenditure of large enterprises on science and technology shall increase by at least 12%, the output value of new products shall reach 20%, the patent rights shall increase 15%, and the growth rate of the added value of the strategic industries and hi-tech industries shall be faster than that of the large industrial enterprises.
