Export of whole vehicle products over $200 million

In the first half year, 218 groups of whole vehicle products(including completely knocked-down kit) have been exported, with an increase of 47.3% compared with the same period of 2012. The value of the 27,381 vehicles, increasing by 53.6%, has reached $210 million, an increase of 64.1% over the same period of last year.
Vehicles are mainly exported to markets of Eastern Europe and the relatively developed countries in Middle East. 170,000 vehicles, 65% of the export, have been exported to Russia, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. More than 75% of the vehicles are the middle-high-end Geely EC7, which brings in 10% more benefit than other vehicle types. Geely vehicles now ranks third in Ukraine auto market, following Hyundai and Kia. In Russian market, sales of Geely vehicles have doubled for two months, with more than 10,000 vehicles sold in the first half of year.
The export success owes much to assistance from Ningbo Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in improving enterprises’ ability to break foreign technological trade barrier. By making foreign policies clear and help enterprises get certifications required for export, the Bureau has succeeded in opening the middle-high-end market.
