Audiovisual Industrial Park”
Recently, it was announced by the Xiangshan County Publicity Department that the National Radio and Television Administration has approved the establishment of the “China (Xiangshan) Audiovisual Industrial Park” in Xiangshan. This initiative aims to promote the development of new audiovisual products, services, and business models, driving the quality and healthy growth of audiovisual works. This marks Ningbo's first national-level audiovisual industrial park.
The China (Xiangshan) Audiovisual Industrial Base is centered around Ningbo's Film and Television Cultural Industrial Zone, encompassing four core areas: Xiangshan Film and Television City, China Maritime Film and Television City, the 706 Film and Television Innovation Center, and Xiangshan Film Academy. It integrates four functional zones: the core industry zone, the film studio zone, the research and teaching zone, and the residential support zone. Spanning over 1 million square meters, the park has attracted over 4,300 companies and studios, with a comprehensive audiovisual and film production industry chain. The zone's operational revenue reached 4 billion yuan in 2024.
The Ningbo Film and Television Cultural Industrial Zone has demonstrated robust audiovisual content production capabilities, hosting the filming of over 1,800 productions, including Nirvana in Fire, The Legend of Mi Yue, Eternal Love, Joy of Life, and The Longest Day in Chang'an, ranking second nationwide in terms of filming volume among similar bases. Additionally, the zone has actively explored emerging audiovisual markets, creating new growth opportunities for the film and television industry. In 2024, it hosted 330 film crews, with web series and micro-dramas accounting for 65.45% of the projects.
By attracting leading audiovisual enterprises and creating audiovisual employment opportunities, the Ningbo Film and Television Cultural Industrial Zone has helped over 10,000 local villagers transition into supporting roles in the film and television industry.
