On November 23, Ningbo Association of Human Resources Service was founded.
It is said that at present there are 227 talent intermediary agencies with more than 4,000 employees in Ningbo. Last year, over 60,000 people got employed with their recommendation and help. The agencies provided multi-angle, all-dimensional and individualized services on human resources development, and played an indispensible role in introducing high-end talents and solving the problem of laborer shortage.
The establishment of Ningbo Association of Human Resources Service is proposed by nine companies including Ningbo Oriental Human Resources Service Co. Ltd. and Ningbo GI Human Resources Co. Ltd. With a total number of 114 corporate members, the association aims at providing services, management and self-discipline and playing a role in foreign cooperation and exchange and construction of platforms and carriers. Bi Xuerong, Director of Human Resources Market Department of Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, presented the plaque for the association, and Vice-mayor Chen Yijun attended the ceremony and delivered a speech

The other day, a Taiwan merchant ship "Hepeng 1", loaded with about 15 tons of cargo, entered Shipu Fishing Port, and it was the 34th batch of imports from Taiwan to Xiangshan Port. According to the latest statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first ten months of this year, the total imports and exports value of petty trade with Taiwan by Xiangshan Port reached $4.427 million, up 170% over the same period last year.
As one of the first five pilot ports for petty trade with Taiwan (the other four being Shenjiamen Port of Putuo District, Mawei Port in Fujian Province, Shijing Port in Quanzhou and Huizhou Port in Guangzhou), Xiangshan Port has begun to import more food products, farm products and light industry products since last year. To provide support for the petty trade with Taiwan, Xiangshan Customs cooperates with such port organizations as State Inspection and Border Inspection to open a special window for the trade. It also greatly promoted the development of the petty trade with Taiwan by introducing some measures like 24-hour reservation for clearance.

From the preparatory meeting of 2011 China Food Expo held by Ningbo Municipal Government on the afternoon of November 22, it is learnt that a variety of activities closely connected to the theme of "creating customer value and guiding industrial development" have been arranged and ready for visitors.
In this year's Expo, a theme forum titled "core competitiveness enhancement and industrial development of food enterprises" will be held. In addition, some selections, such as top 50 influential food enterprises, top 30 customers' favorite food brands in Zhejiang Province and top 30 gold prizes of 2011 China Food Expo, will be carried out.
There will be a range of negotiation and promotional activities in this year's Expo, those that have been determined are the purchasing fair for the national top 100 trading companies, Auchan food safety and purchase fair, imported wine tasting meeting and Ningbo soy products release conference. The latest statistics from Ningbo Customs show that in the first ten months of this year Ningbo imported a total of 8.075 million liters of wine, up 78.4% over the same period last year, with a total value of $37.59 million, up 150%. Ningbo has become the largest distribution center of imported wine in Zhejiang Province.
The imports from the three main source countries, France, Italy and Spain, take up 67.3% of the total quantity, with imports of 2.752 million liters, 1.935 million liters and 745,000 liters respectively
