According to Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Energy, as of July this year, the city’s installed photovoltaic capacity reached 7.1325 million kilowatts, exceeding the capacity target of the 14th Five-year Plan ahead of schedule and maintaining the first place in Zhejiang province and vice provincial level cities in China. To be specific, the installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics is 5.7443 million kilowatts, accounting for about 80.5% of the total, being the main form of photovoltaic development in Ningbo.
Ground photovoltaic power stations are being constructed on a large scale. In recent years, Ningbo has made full use of the coastal mudflat, reservoirs and agricultural land resources in Cixi County, Xiangshan County and Ninghai County to vigorously develop photovoltaic power stations. 12 large-scale ground power stations with an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts have been built, as well as nine centralized photovoltaic power stations with an installed capacity of over 180,000 kilowatts.
On the mudflat of Changdatu, Gaotang Island Township, Xiangshan County, a huge matrix of solar panels is shining in order, absorbing the energy of the sun, and continuously delivering green and clean energy to people.
This is the photovoltaic project of Datang Photovoltaic Energy, and it is also the largest coastal mudflat fishery-photovoltaic complementary project in China at present. The total installed capacity of this project is 300 megawatts, and it can annually deliver 340 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the power grid, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of 110,000 households. The annual output value is 142 million yuan, and it can save 100,000 tons of standard coal annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 270,000 tons.
Over the past two years, Ningbo has organically combined green energy development with industrial upgrading and transformation, with the focus on the development of distributed photovoltaics on the roofs of enterprises with high electricity consumption and energy consumption levels. The newly built photovoltaic projects include the 68,000KW project for Volkswagen at Hangzhou Bay, the 40,000KW project for Jintian Copper Industry, and the 20,000KW project for Baoxin Stainless Steel.
Meanwhile, by utilizing the existing roofs and transmission lines of large-scale thermal power plants, Ningbo has developed the full roof distributed photovoltaics. The installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in the four major power plant areas of Beilun District, Xiangshan County, Ninghai County, and Zhenhai District has reached 125,000 kilowatts
