This scene is very common at Ningbo Port. According to statistics from Ningbo Customs, the total import and export volume of Ningbo Port to Central and Eastern European countries in the first half of this year was 50.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%. Since the establishment of the Ningbo China Central and Eastern European Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, the import and export value of Ningbo Port to Central and Eastern European countries has exceeded 50 billion yuan for the first time in half a
year, and the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides has reached a new level.
In terms of imports, in the first half of the year, Ningbo Port imported 3.51 billion yuan from Central and Eastern European countries, with the main commodities being unprocessed copper and copper materials, accounting for 51.5%, and the import value increased by 30.3% year-on-year. Minmetals Group is the only Chinese enterprise to sign a five-year cathode copper procurement contract with the Polish National Copper Company. Our branch was registered in Meishan Comprehensive Bonded Zone last year and the related project was successfully implemented. In the second half of the year, the import volume of related goods is expected to continue to increase, "said Cheng Lifeng, the head of the Beilun branch of Minmetals Flow Zhejiang Co., Ltd.
In terms of exports, in the first half of the year, the export value of Ningbo Port to Central and Eastern European countries was 46.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. The main commodities were electromechanical products represented by electronic components and textiles and clothing.
