The Ningbo Merchants Museum, a key cultural project of Ningbo, has been completed lately. The move-in work is about to finish.
With joint efforts of various parties, the move-in work in the Ningbo Merchants Museum is about to conclude. The exhibition line, the showcase installation and the decorations have been completed. The scenario of the Ningbo Port in the early 19th century and the sculptures have been made. The final touches are being made. Thousands of historical items and documents have been collected from home and abroad, which range various historical periods.
It is introduced that the Ningbo Merchants Museum consists of a museum and a guild hall. The exhibition consists of historical section and achievements section, which are arranged in six chapters on floor one and floor two. It displays the development history of the Ningbo merchants that originated from the Tang and Song Dynasties, developed in the Ming and Qing dynasties and got prospered in the Mingguo Period and in the modern times. The great achievements of the Ningbo merchants in fields of shipping, banking, trade, industry and education are well showcased in the museum. Ningbo Merchants Museum is sure to become another tourist attraction in Ningbo.
