Workers are leveling soil near pounds in Xiejialu Village where more than 60 mu pounds have been rebuilt and put into fry. In a few years, the area will become the largest agricultural sci-tech garden in Yuyao County.
From the beginning of the year, the village began to implement the plan of ‘growing grains in southern part of the county, vegetables in the middle part of the county and developing leisure agriculture in Northern part of the county’. The garden was named as New Continent. The area of the garden will reach 5100 mu. The garden will be divided into High-tech R & D Zone, Agricultural Training Zone,
Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Zone and Leisure Fishing Zone. It is expected that the whole investment will be 232,000,000 Yuan. The village will form a company to attract collective and social investment. According to the plan of the village, the garden will be completed in five years. In the first year, the village will invest 30 million Yuan and finish five tasks, including leveling roads leading to the garden, transforming the management of 200 mu land, establishing a 500 mu garden in which grapes, cherries and loquats will be grown, building a fishing center and establishing a 10-mu intelligent greenhouse.
