On June 20, the Siemens of Germany, the ZK-Software of Ningbo and the Beilun Government signed a cooperative contract on reducing the power use in the administrative building of Beilun . They agreed to reduce the power consumption by 13% per year.
According to the contract, Siemens and ZK-Software will conduct an auditing of the energy use in the building and customize a solution of economic power use. It will involve the upgrading of the air-conditioning system, the heating system, the articulation system, energy testing system, the lighting system, etc. After completion of the project, the power consumption can be save by 400,000 yuan per year.
Energy auditing is conducted against the relevant laws and standards of China. It aims to test, check and analyze the engerny use process and the financing process of a work unit. “The green technology of Siemens can meet the needs for sustainable development in power, transportation, petrochemicals, paper making, shipping and construction”, said Meng Fanchen, deputy chief executive of Siemens China. It’s learned that Siemens owns some 30000 patents on environmental protection and climatic solution. Last year it helped China reduce the emission of CO2 by 148 million tons, which equals the total of New York, London and Hong Kong. At the China Energy Consumption Fair (Ningbo), Siemens displayed a frequency-conversion transmission system, which can save 70% of electric power. And its static power retaining system can reduce the CO2 emission by 300 tons for the subway. ice mayor Yu Hongyi attended the contract signing ceremony.
