With the uprising of temperature in May, the cultural activities in Dongsheng, Dutou, and Weidou residential communities also got hotter and hotter.

In Dongsheng residential community, the inhabitants liked watching the Yue opera in the evening. Mr. Young, or the head of the residential community said that the park has become a good place for the mass to enjoy the opera every week.

A migrant worker from Sichuan Province said that thought he could not fully understand the lines in the Yue Opera, he was quite interested in it. And he was amazed at the high quality of performance here.

With the development of economy in the district, more and more people would spend more time on the square to enjoy themselves. The square, together with its spectaculars and performances, with become a shining name card for the district in the future.

I personally would like to say thank you to all joining my birthday party on 23rd April, 2008. This was really a special evening for me and I am happy that the Charity event was already such great success on the first launch. As you know, ALL money collected will go directly in to buying material for the school and COIC Board and volunteers will control that the goal will be reached to ensure that the students study and overall conditions will improve. All sponsors and supporters of this project, please be encouraged to donate further on directly to COIC / CCPIT office in cash and provide more gifts for the upcoming charity events. Report about: Soft Launch of COIC Education Fund

Eckhard, Chairman of COIC -Chamber of International Commerce Ningbo- Foreign Expert Committee- had invited to his birthday party and paid the meals and drinks for all 78 guests. The guests did even receive gifts, but in return were offered a lucky draw for the fund raising to support the "COIC Educational Fund.

This evening was dedicated to the soft launch of the campaign to raise fund for the support of a school in Ningbo Ninghai district, that urgently need new table for the students and kitchen equipment.

In several upcoming events COIC Educational Fund will raise funds for this project. Meanwhile it is also possible to donate gifts for upcoming Lucky Draws or amounts of money to support the project. The fundraising of 23rd April, has created the base of Rmb 10,000, that will be fully given to the school project.

When Eckhard was asked how he is feeling about it, he said:" This was a special birthday for me as I could make so many people exited to donate for the school project. I am glad that I did sponsor this evening, so all money donated can go directly for the school. I am looking forward that more people take the imitative to organize such events so we can fast raise the amount needed. I fact it would be great if we could raise to total of Rmb 480,000 for building a new service and Kitchen facility for the school. So as you can see the work has just started and it is already a great success. If anyone need to know how to organize such evening, please get in touch with me, so we can work it out together."
