Have you ever heard of grid owners? You can
just pay 100 Yuan to rent a grid and become a grid owner, who can put
your goods in your grid. You don’t bother to sell your goods because
the shop manager will help you sell them. Such grid shops are now
pretty popular in universities in Ningbo. There is one grid shop in Ningbo Institute of Technology. There are
more than 100 grids where such goods as cotton socks, decorations, skin
cream, clothes and small articles are sold. Before the cash desk is the
manager. She is a senior in the institute. At the beginning of the
term, she rented half of the room to open the shop. Xiao Chen, the manger of the shop, Xiao Chen tells us that most of
grid shop owners and their customers are students. Grid owners are
responsible for getting goods into the shop while managers selling
these goods. She adds that half of these grids have been rented and
they can earn about 2,000 Yuan each month.
