Academicians solving problems for enterprises

"I'm so glad to have such a chance to consult the academicians face to face." said Shen Guocheng, President of Cibei Medical Instruments Co. Ltd. on the afternoon of May 5, when he came back from Shanghai to the sub-venue of the 2018 "Forum on Quality Development Driven by Innovations" in Ningbo.

Unlike the traditional forums where the experts just deliver some speeches, this forum not only provides the platform for the academicians to discuss about the developing trend of the materials industry and share the latest news about new technological research and development, but also enables the enterprises to dock with the experts who can help them to solve technical problems, establish intelligence-driven cooperation models, and point out the future of the industry.

At the five sub-venues respectively for polymer materials, alloy materials, bio-medicine and materials, rare earth materials and comprehensive materials, the managers or technical directors of 103 local enterprises in the materials field took the opportunity to seek advice from the present academicians on such issues as the future trend of the industry, problems of the existing market, the key technological breakthroughs and the production process optimization.

As is known, Ningbo is an important industrial base for new materials in China. In 2017, the output value of the new materials industry in Ningbo reached 139.5 billion yuan, up by 28.2% over the previous year, enabling the city to rank No.1 among the top seven domestic new materials cities in terms of the scale of the industry. The city also boasts a large number of new materials enterprises with high reputation and leading position in the industry, as well as a batch of original new materials products
