First voyage of VLOC completed in Ningbo

The "Far River" Ship, the first second-generation VLOC with a capacity of 400,000 tons, unloaded the 388,166 tons of iron ore from Brazil and left the ore transfer wharf of Shulang Lake of the Qushan Port area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port at about 3pm on April 21, completing its first voyage worldwide.
Since the first trial berthing of a VLOC with a capacity of 400,000 tons on September 23, 2016, the ore transfer wharf of Shulang Lake has received 36 visits of the 400,000-ton VLOCs.
As is known, the main deck of the "Far River" Ship is as large as three football courts and the ship weighs 55,000 tons itself. It is regarded as one of the leading ship products in the world.
