Five Ningbo Enterprises Win Zhejiang Patent Award

Recently, science and technology department of Zhejiang provincial government has announced the winners of the 1st Zhejiang Patent Award. Out of the five golden prizes and 30 excellence prizes Ningbo has one golden prize winner and 4 excellence prize winners.
In order to further the implementation of the national intelletual property strategy and promote the innovation-driven development, the fist Zhejiang Patent Award was launched in August this year. The Award includes golden prizes and excellence prizes.
One golden prize is given to Ningbo CRRC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd for one of its invention patent; three other invetion patents from Zhejiang Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd, Ningbo Saifute Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd and Sedin Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. are awarded excellence prizes along with one design patent from Bull Electric Group Co., Ltd. The enterprises concerned are mainly involved in new energy, intellectual manufacturing, chemical industry, electromagnetic applications and home appliance.
Ningbo has carried out a series of measures to promote the upgrade of both the quantity and quality of intellectual property and to generate high-quality patents in the city. From January to September in 2016, 14,038 inventions filed a patent application and 4,876 of them were successfully granted with issued patents, an increase by 56.4% and 33.6% compared with last year. The proportion of invention patent applications also increased from 20.7% to 25.7%, and invention patents granted take up 17.0% of all patents granted this year, an increase of 4.9% from 2015. The invention patent applications filed in Zhenhai, Haishu, Cixi, Yuyao and Yinzhou all grow by more than 50%. The number of patents has been growing steadily, and steady progress has been witnessed in the upgrade of both quality and quantity of patents citywide
