High-End Automobile Brand “LYNK” Launched by Geely

On the evening of April 16th, Geely’S LYNK & CO, a high-end automobile brand, held new product release conference at Shanghai West Bund Art Centre. An Huicong, president and CEO of geely, revealed the Chinese name of LYNK & CO to the public for the first time. The conference is known to be its first product release in China after its establishment in Berlin, Germany on last year’s October 20. During the conference, the company presented its concept car LYNK & CO 03 for the first time along with its LYNK & CO 01.

According to Alain Visser, vice president of the company, LYNK cars will be produced in Volvo’s manufacturing bases in China with the same quality standard as Volvo. At the end of April of last year, costing 13 billion yuan, a project of middle and high end cargos with an annual production capability of 300 thousand cars was launched by Geely in Hangzhou Bay New Zone. Management committee of Hanghzou Bay Zone said LYNK B would roll off the production line in 2018. And LYNK Sales Company has been set up recently.

In the middle of February 2017, officials of Geely Yuyao Project attended the opening ceremony of major projects of Yuyao. Covering an area of 80 hectares, the project was aimed to produce 300 thousand vehicles. With an estimated investment of 5.5 billion yuan, the project will last about 30 months. Seminar for global film & TV masters kicks off in Ningbo

Four prominent masters in the US and European film and TV fields, including Ed Solomon, a famous Hollywood screenwriter, were invited to Ningbo to give lectures at the seminar for global film and TV masters held at Nantang Ancient Street on April 10. The seminar aims to improve the professional standard of the film and TV employees in Ningbo. 

Ed Solomon is a prominent writer, producer, director, screenwriter as well as farce actor, and his masterpieces include Men in Black, Now You See Me and the X-men series. He said this seminar was in the innovative ways of seminar rather than in the traditional lecture form, thus the trainers and the trainees may have open dialogues and interaction to share practice and experience in their work and get a better result for the training. 

The seminar will organize some discussions on the composing principles of the Hollywood screenwriters, the structure and style of the US film or TV stories, and the recognition of the attractiveness of the contemporary film and TV works to the Chinese audience, based on the case studies of the classical films or TV plays like Now You See Me. 

Besides Ed Solomon, the other three masters are Ryan Ro, a famous US director, and Dr. Julien Stringer and Dr. Nicky Lee, both from the University of Nottingham, UK

Spring session of 15th CHFE rounded off

The four-day spring session of the 15th China International Housing & Furnishing Expo came to an end at Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center on April 10. According to the statistics of the organizing committee, the expo received over 30,000 professional purchasers and over 100 trade teams or groups from 28 provinces, municipalities or autonomous regions, as well as over 100,000 customers for visit or purchase. The expo has finally led to a total industrial volume of 4.2 billion yuan for contracts or intent contracts. 

Reportedly, over 70% of the booths of the summer session of the 2017 CHFE have been ordered. The summer session will be held at Ningbo International Conference & Exhibition Center from July 7 to 10, with 2200 exhibition booths

2017 China (Ningbo) Cultural Industries Fair to be held

At the press conference of the 2017 China (Ningbo) Cultural Industries Fair held by the organizing committee on the morning of April 10, Lin Daji, Deputy-director of the Propaganda Department of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Director of the organizing committee office of the fair, that this year's fair will be held at Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center from April 14 to 17. As is reported, this session will have a larger scale and higher quality compared with the last one. A series of activities will be held at the eight theme exhibition halls by the participating enterprises from 25 countries and regions in the world. The most attractive sights will be the large "blue whale" inflatable playground, which is even larger than a Boing 737 plane, the Drum Tower model set made up of 100,000 pieces of Lego blocks, and the animation exhibition which is at the highest level ever in Ningbo.

With eight exhibition halls (two more than for last year's session), the fair boasts a total area of 50,000 square meters. The eight halls are respectively for international products from the "one belt one road" countries, urban cultural creativity, intangible cultural heritage, culture & art, culture & technology, cultural creation & music, culture & leisure, and animation & electronic sports
