Rewards of Two Million Yuan Granted to Beilun SMEs

Small and micro-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship taskforces in Beilun received red envelopes that contain money gift worth a combined 2 million yuan. Each enterprise involved could claim a reward up to 50,000 yuan and every taskforce 30,000 yuan.
The innovation reward is believed to be issued to small and micro-sized businesses or entrepreneurs by the government. The amount of money can be spent on purchases of services from scientific and research institutions. Receivers include start-ups in Beilun incubators, maker space, entrepreneurs or groups at the maker service center and other start-ups registered in Ningbo’s Science and Technology Administration.
“Beilun Science and Technology Service Center and Metal and Light Industrial Product Inspection Center among other platforms have provided services to businesses and entrepreneur taskforces through the inclusive policy that entails nothing like competitive reviews. This has encouraged more people to join the mass innovation and entrepreneurship boom”, according to people from the administration.
Beyond that, entrepreneurs, backed by Innovation Reward Service System of Zhejiang Science and Technology Cloud platform, are allowed to spend the reward in accessing research facilities and infrastructure and purchasing technologies via more than 500 provincial-level innovation sharing platforms.
How much the reward will be given depends on contracts and services records of enterprises or entrepreneurs have signed. But it must be noted that the reward, offered by the government for free, is registered and prohibited from transferring, selling and using repeatedly.
