The Eighth Ningbo International Tea Culture Festival To Be Held

News came on March 20th from the press conference held by the organizing committee that the third Cross-straits Four Regions Tea Culture Summit and the eighth Ningbo International Tea Culture Festival would be held in Ningbo from May 6th to May 9th. Now Ningbo is gearing up for the summit and the Tea Culture Festival.

The festival is co-sponsored by the Academy of Chinese Studies, China International Tea Culture Institution, China Tea Marketing Association, China Tea Science Society, Zhejiang Agricultural Department and Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It will relate the tea culture and tea industry to the Belt and Road Initiative while focusing on the construction of Yongweichagang, a tea trading center. A series of activities promoting the reputation of Ningbo tea will also be proposed to boost the tea business in Ningbo.

The third Cross-straits Four Regions Tea Culture Summit has declared its theme: tea culture and the Belt and Road Initiative. During the summit, experts and scholars from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will gather in Ningbo, attending seminars that study the influence of tea culture in the Belt and Road Initiative. Meanwhile, the cultural festival will feature taste, appreciation and joy. During the festival, Ningbo International Exhibition Center is going to hold a tea exhibition with sundry sections displaying tea sets, tea-related pictures and calligraphy, and famous tea in Ningbo, Taiwan and other parts of China. There will be 650 booths and about 200 enterprises participating with products ranging from all sorts of tea to tea-related commodities. Famous tea brands from home and abroad will crowd under one roof, providing variegated products for customers to taste and purchase.

Besides, more activities are arranged, including the eighth China Top Green Tea Contest, 2016 Zhejiang Tea Art Vocational Skill Competition and the eighth Ningbo Tea Art Competition, tea pleasure journeys, tea parties, promotional activities of tea culture in schools, communities, companies and government departments, etc
