Ningbo to invest 11.9 billion yuan in road projects

According to a meeting on the work of road construction held on February 21, in 2014 Ningbo is to invest 11.9 billion yuan in road projects. Of the total, 8.88 billion yuan will be used in provincial main roads, increased by 31.67% against 2013.
In 2014, Ningbo is to invest 2.9 billion yuan in the construction of national and provincial highways, 5.6 billion in county-level highways, and 380 million yuan in countryside roads. 60% of 200 kilometers of the country roads are the serving-the-people projects of Ningbo Municipal Government and traffic of 162 villages will be improved.
In 2014, the city will increase 20,000 or 25,000 ETC users. In 2013, the city increased 19 one-stop ETC service stations and the city ranks the first in Zhejiang for its 48 ETC service stations.
By the end of 2013, the total length of highways of Ningbo increased to 10892 kilometers and the density of the highways reaches 111.4 km/100 square kilometers.
