First China-CEEC Expo to be held

The Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Business announced at 3pm on May 29 at the press conference of the State Council Information Office that from June 8 to 12, the first China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, a new state-level fair, will be held in Ningbo. It is also the only state-level fair focusing on the cooperation between China and the central and eastern European countries.
With the theme of "deepening opening and cooperation, and working together for mutual benefits", this session of the expo has Slovakia and Lithuania as the guest countries of honor. The 21st Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium will be held in the meantime. Reportedly, over 2,000 overseas traders and guests will attend the expo.
"The upgraded China-CEEC Expo will definitely promote the further economic and trade cooperation between China and CEEC countries, and will serve as an important platform for the further "Belt and Road" international cooperation between them." said a related person from the organizing committee of the expo. The expo will consist of four sections, namely the conferences and forums, the economic and trade fairs, trade exhibitions and people-to-people exchanges. The major events include the China-CEEC Cooperation Forum, the CEEC Commodity Exhibition, the China-CEEC Investment and Cooperation Symposium, the Customs Inspection and Quarantine Cooperation and Dialogue Session, and the

Business Cooperation Conference for Chambers of Commerce.
The expo will be more open. It will invite some important guests from the governments of Slovakia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, and about 2,000 overseas guests from international organizations, multinational companies, purchasers, exhibitors and investors. Meanwhile, the promoting meeting for the "Belt and Road" construction of Zhejiang Province will be held, as well as the round-table conference for the foreign-funded ventures.
The expo will be more practical. By giving full play to the complementary advantages of China and the CEEC countries, the expo will emphasize the economic, trade and cultural & educational cooperation, the import business and the "going-out" strategy. Over 20 economic and trade activities will be held, including the China-CEEC Cooperation Forum and the investment and cooperation fair. The exhibition section will cover a total area of 110,000 square meters, with the special exhibition for imported commodities from Europe. Over 3,500 purchasers and investors are invited to the exhibitions.
The expo will have a wider range for participation on the principle of consultation, contribution and shared benefits. As the guest countries of honor, Slovakia and Lithuania will carry out a number of important activities. The Ministry of Business, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries will participate or sponsor nine events. Jilin Province will attend the expo as a theme province. The delegations of cities, industrial parks and 300 enterprises of seven provinces or province-level municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai and Jiangsu Province will participate in such activities as the city and industrial park exhibition, and the docking meeting for overseas cooperative zones with enterprises of the Yangtze River Delta area
