In protest at the detainment of China's first luxury cruise liner Henna, Zhang Ling, chairman of HNA Tourism, the operator of Henna, announced a boycott to trips to South Korea's Jeju Island in the welcoming ceremony of detained passengers.

The luxury liner, with 1,659 passengers on board, was detained before it left Jeju after a court had received a seizure application from a subsidiary company of Jiangsu Shagang Group Co Ltd. On Sunday and Monday, 1,558 passengers were flown home on chartered flights. The rest passengers and crewmembers arrived home on Wednesday.

The latest developments of "Henna" incident also affected local tourists in Ningbo. A number of local travel agencies have booked "Henna". As Henna operator announced the termination of Jeju Island routes, over 100 local tourists have to cancel their trips.
