Plan of Cicheng New Town drafted

The Plan of Cicheng New Town was drawn out. On July 15, Ningbo Municipal Planning Bureau announced the first draft of the detailed plan of the new town. According to the draft, the town should be an emerging central ecological town with unique features of the regions in the south of the Changjiang River. With the old Town and advantageous position new the Hangzhou Bay, the town should be the northwest portal of Ningbo to Shanghai.
The new town will be at the foot of Shizi Mountain and surrounded by rivers. At the joint of the rivers is a central lake of 280,000 square meters.
With the geographic conditions, the new town is planned to be a unique emerging waterside town, and an ecological town with sustainable development potentials. With the principal function of quality living, the new town should have functions in cultural industries, business, recreation, entertainment, shopping, and so on.
For this new town, the planned population is 53,000. six living quarters are planned, with each for 6500 to 11500. In the draft, the details of facilities of shopping, financing, culture, sports, recreation and entertainment have not decided yet.
