When visiting the Fritillary field in Zhangxi Village, Zhangshui Town, Haishu District, Shao Jiangwei, chairman of the Haishu Fritillaria Association, is confident in the output of Fritillaria this year.

Fritillaria is one of the main economic crops planted by farmers in Siming Mountain in Haishu, and is listed as the first of the famous "Eight Flavors of Zhejiang" Chinese herbal medicines. Since the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty, Zhangshui Town has artificially planted Fritillaria because of its congenital high-quality soil, suitable climate and other environmental conditions. It has a history of more than 300 years. There are more than 10,000 acres of Fritillaria in Haishu District, mainly in Zhangshui Town, Yinjiang Town, Longguan Township and other towns and villages, with nearly 20,000 farmers. Haishu District is currently the only "Hometown of Zhejiang Fritillaria" and "Registration Mark of Origin" protected area in the country.

This year, the "Hometown of Zhejiang Fritillaria" Industrial Park in Zhangshui

Town cooperated with the Shouquanzhai Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Center to create the "Shouquanzhai + Hometown of Zhejiang Fritillaria Education Base", which was unveiled in the form of a Chinese medicinal material processing experience hall + planting base. After the completion of the Shouquanzhai Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Center, citizens can learn about the long-standing Chinese medicine culture.
