Construction of Meishan Industrial Cluster Zone to be accelerated

Meishan Industrial Cluster Zone will make breakthroughs in its 87 key projects in 2013, with a planned investment of 12 billion yuan in the form of fixed assets. Among them, there are 21 key preliminary projects and 66 key construction projects. The zone will make efforts to improve comprehensively the infrastructure and public facilities construction, and strengthen the industrial support.
These days, on the construction site of the international trade building project located in Meishan Bonded Harbor area, workers are busy carrying out the exterior glass curtain wall installation and renovation work. The building is expected to be put into use in September this year, mainly for the import c
ommodity exhibition, offices and so on. Likewise, the Meishan Hotel project is about to be completed. After completion, it will bring greater economic benefits to the local area.
It is reported that among the 87 key projects, the projects of such sectors as the wharfs, roads and public facilities are hotspots for investment.

The leisure tourism industry is expected to achieve significant progress in 2013. To be specific, the Sports Leisure Park, the International Park and the Yacht Eco-port will be constructed with a total annual investment of 370 million yuan.
In addition, the zone plans to invest 2.4 billion yuan to build, continue or put into operation 17 projects in manufacturing industry and some strategic emerging industries. Such eye-catching projects as Shenzhou Special Natural Fibers project, the international logistics center and the 1st phase of the Chunxiao whole-vehicle projects of the Geely Automobile, will be completed and put into operation within the year. Besides, a group of projects, including the electrically-driven injection molding machine project of the Haitian Group, will begin construction in 2013.
