China Resources Snow Breweries decided to buy 55% equity interest of West Lake Beer Stock with 270 million yuan on August 2nd. The company has factories both in Ningbo and Hangzhou, showing a strong enterprise. It was established in 1958 as Hangzhou Taoyuanling Brewery, which is the first Brewery in Ningbo. It has over 50 years of history. With two production bases in Hangzhou and Deqing, it has the capacity of 500 thousand of kilo liter and a Sales Volume of 120 thousand of kilo liter. Since the year 2005, Snow Brewery ranked first place in 6 successive years. The company's total production and sales stay ahead of other domestic beer business for 6 years. In 2010, its sales grew from 16% to 841.3 million liters, consolidating its position as the world's leading beer brand. It ranks No. 29 among "2011 China Most Valuable Brands".
