Ningbo ranks No.1 in cross-border e-commerce import for Double 11th

On the Double 11th Shopping Festival, the number of cross-border e-commerce import orders via Ningbo exceeded 10 million for the first time, marking the third consecutive year for Ningbo to rank No.1 for the cross-border e-commerce import.
According to the statistics from Ningbo Customs, on November 11, the customs cleared 11.08 million orders of cross-border e-commerce import declaration, with a total cargo value of 2.33 billion yuan, up by 84.4% and 140.2% respectively. Among others, Ningbo Bonded Zone ranked No.1, with 7.775 million import declarations cleared and the cargo value reaching 1.75 billion yuan, accounting for 70.2% and 75.1% respectively of the total of the whole city.
Statistics show that the cross-border e-commerce retail imports on the Double 11th Day are from 85 countries or regions. Among others, the most popular product source countries are Japan, the US, Australia, South Korea and New Zealand, with their sales volume accounting for 74% of the total. In terms of the categories of the imports, the major ones are cosmetics, health products, maternal and infant products and food, and they account for about 70% of the cross-border e-commerce retail imports.


Besides, Ningbo Airport officially launched the cross-border e-commerce retail import business in July, 2019. On November 11, Ningbo Airport Customs cleared 10,500 declarations of retail exports, with the value of US$56,000. The main products include clothes, mobile phone accessories, handy tools and pet products, mainly to such export destinations as the UK, Germany, Belgium and Holland
