Cixi shifting from manufacturing to creating

In the last year, Cixi City made a historical new high for the number patent applications and the number of patent rights granted. In the year, the city obtained 238 patents for invention. It indicates the constantly increasing creative capacity of the enterprises. It also indicates that the city is accelerating to adjust the modes of economic growth, shifting from the manufacturing orientation to the creating orientation.
The city is also working to build a human friendly environment of respecting creativity, knowledge and creditability and to raise the awareness of patents rights and capacity. In recent years, Cixi Science and Technology Bureau has organized training classes of patents rights for related enterprises leaders. About 2,000 people have got trained. In the meanwhile, relying on such platforms as Cixi Household Appliance Expo, the city hosted China Cixi Forum of Intellectual Property and launched programs including the cooperative program of intellectual properties of the Changjiang River Delta, and the contests of industrial designing, inventions and patents election and so on, to create the atmosphere of creativity.
These policies and incentive measures have roused the enthusiasm of enterprises to apply for patent rights and promoted the development of enterprises.
