Ningbo raises pension for enterprise retirees

According to Ningbo Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Ningbo has raised pensions for enterprises retirees by an average of 220 yuan per person per month from January 1, 2012, which represents a total of 990 million yuan annual increase in pension expense.

There are 370,000 enterprise retirees in Ningbo, whose average monthly pension stood at 1840 yuan last year, higher than the provincial and the national average. The recent pension adjustment aims to benefit retirees who proceed retirement according to national, provincial and municipal regulations before April 30, 2012.

It is learned that the recent adjustment benefits three types of retirees, namely, retirees who are employed before 1953, retirees over 70 years old ( 65 years old for female), and retirees with senior professional titles.

According to Ningbo Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, 240,000 urban retirees have received the raised pensions on March 5 while the rural retirees will receive them around March 8. Besides adjustment on retirement pensions, the municipal government are mulling pension adjustment of other employees

Hangzhou Bay New Zone offer high pay to woo talents

"Working five days a week with a two-day weekend makes me feel like an office worker, although I am a student now." said Wang Bin, a senior in Yangtze River Vocational College. He has worked as a graduate trainee in Hangzhou Bay New Zone for three months. He expressed his wish to stay here after graduation. Majoring in vehicle inspection and maintenance, he began to work as a trainee in stamping plant in Geely Group last winter. He was quite satisfied with the pay and subsidies his company offered for college graduates and interns.

An official from Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Hangzhou Bay New Zone said that they offer 500 yuan a month as living allowance to new college interns with reimbursement of round-trip travel expenses. College graduates who choose to stay here can enjoy 1,000 yuan as social security subsidies every year. The honored graduates who choose to work in the New zone enterprises can enjoy living allowance of 300 yuan per month, and 1,500 yuan as yearly social security subsidies. Statistics show that so far the new zone has paid 1,17 million yuan to college interns and graduates.

According to local authorities, 115 of the 131 college interns who came in 2010 decided to stay here and signed labor contracts with their employers. The college internship program in 2011 created 1494 jobs in 52 companies. It is learned that all the 320 college interns in Geely Group were all in place in advance, and expressed their willingness to stay in the New Zone after graduation

Ningbo's first auction for mining rights

Recently, the live auction for two mining rights has been successfully held in Ningbo. This is the first live auction for mining rights in public trading platform after major adjustment on mining rights trading has been made last November.

The auction includes the mining rights of two ordinary stone mines. The first one is located in a village in Yin Jiang Township in Yinzou District. After a price offer, the mining right was sold at 8.85 million yuan.

The second one belongs to an ordinary building stone mine located in another village in Yinzhou District, with a capacity of 5.14 million tones. The starting price was 10.8 million yuan. Besides, the bidder has to pay a total of 8.5 million yuan as the deposit for environmental resuming. After a fierce competition of 38 bids, a bidder finally won the mining right at 26.7 million yuan, with a premium rate as high as 147%

Seven exhibitions to be held in March

According to local authorities, seven exhibitions will be held in Ningbo international Exhibition Centre in March, including the 13th International Machinery Industry Exhibition, the 5th China (Ningbo) International Boutique Furniture Exhibition and the 17th Ningbo International Auto Expo. These events are good opportunities for consumers in Ningbo to find a good home decoration company, or to buy a piece of new furniture or even a new car.

Almost every day in March will see an exhibition ongoing. Sometimes two exhibitions might be held at the same time, but in different pavilions.

These exhibitions come in all sizes. Some might just take up in one pavilion while others may occupy three or four pavilions. One of the most striking scene will be the 17th Ningbo International Auto Expo held on March 23 to 26, which takes up all the eight pavilions in the Exhibition Center. Moreover, 10 car exhibitors have to display their cars in the outdoor open space.

Some exhibitions are so important that they serve as industry benchmark. Take the 13th International Machinery Industry Exhibition as example. Having attracted a large number of well-known domestic and international machine manufacturers, the exhibition directly reveals the current condition of the manufacturing enterprises in Ningbo. The fifth China (Ningbo) international Boutique furniture from March 9 to 12 remains a topic of concern, for it will show if Ningbo furniture market can survive the effect from the recent control policy over property market regulation.

Hong Kong Touring Exhibition opened in Jiangbei Wanda Plaza

The 6-day Hong Kong Touring Exhibition 2011-2012 in Ningbo opened the other day in Wanda Plaza in Jiangbei. Chang Minyi, Vice Chairman of Ningbo People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting, attended the opening ceremony.
