The other day, Brunei Darussalam organized a gathering in Ningbo promoting its unique local conditions, natural and tourism resources.

Brunei is a Islamic country in southeast Asia. Its size is only one sixth that of Hainan Province, and the population less than 400,000. The country is rich in resources of forests, coral reefs, waterfalls, islands and beaches.

New household products to make their CHFE debut

It is learned from the organizing committee of the 10th China International Housing and Furnishing Expo that this year's CHFE, to be held from April 13 to 16, will gather over 1000 well-known and first-class brands such as Kohler, Roca, Fotile, Oulin and Dongyirisheng. The 111th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held in Guangzhou Bazhou International Conference and Exhibition Center from April 15 to May 5. It is learned from Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation on March 21 that the scale of the Ningbo delegation will remain almost the same as in last session, with 2915 booths including 822 brand booths, 1337 enterprise exhibitors and over 8000 representatives from participating enterprises.

With 58,600 exhibition booths, the total area of this exhibition amounts to 1.16 million square meters. The exhibition will be held in three phases. The first phase is scheduled from April 15 to 19, when seven categories of products will be displayed, including household electronic appliances, lighting equipment, vehicles and parts and hardware and tools. The second phase, from April 23 to 27, will feature three categories of products, such as household items, gifts and home decorations. The third phase falls from May 1 to 5, when five categories including textiles and garment, shoes, office supplies, cases and bags and recreation products. With the introduction of the two entire-vehicle projects of Geely and Volkswagen (Shanghai) and settlement of a range of high-end core parts manufacturers such as Mando (South Korea), Faurecia (France), Visteon (USA) and Yazaki (Japan), Hangzhou Bay New Zone has become an important automobile industry base and high-end core automobile parts manufacturing base.

In January last year, the high-end automobile parts industrial park was established in the new zone in cooperation with the Geely Group. In April, the whole-vehicle project of Geely with an annual output of 120,000 automobiles was put into production. This year, by speeding up the construction of the large platform featuring automobile industry and enlarging the accumulative effect of the settlement of Volkswagen, the zone will make great efforts to attract a range of big and effective projects with global influence and a leading role in industrial transformation and upgrading, including three to five Fortune 500 (world) companies and over five Fortune 500 (China) companies. So far, some specialists and specialized advisory agencies in automobile industry have been entrusted by the new zone authority to design the development planning of the automobile industrial park, and the industrial park for automobiles and parts has been listed as one of the eight major parks to be constructed during the 12th Five-Year Plan period. It is estimated that by 2015, the total turnover of the automobile industry in the new zone will break 100 billion yuan.
